Patrick Lee

Executive Pastor – plee@cvfirst.org

Pastor Pat is our Executive Pastor after serving as our Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministries at CV First since January 2014.  He currently helps oversee all of the facility and finance matters of the church. He continues to be involved with our Crossover Basketball, “A Kid’s Kingdom” Pre-school, VBS, and AWANA ministries. Pastor Pat received his Bachelor’s of Science (1988) and Master’s of Science (1989) degrees in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley.  He later received his Master of Arts degree from Western Seminary (2011). He worked for 5 years in the water resources field before being called into full-time ministry in 1992. Pastor Pat has served as the Youth Pastor at Bay Area Chinese Bible Church (1995-2007), Associate Pastor at Bay Farm Community Church (2007-2009) and the East Bay Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (2009-2013). Pastor Pat and his wife, Cynthia, have been married since 1992.  Cynthia works in the business side of health care while also being a mom to their three sons; Tyler, Evan and Max. They have lived in Castro Valley since 1999.  They enjoy sports, musicals, eating ice cream, strolling the mall and watching TV “who-dunnit” crime shows, HGTV and the Sing-Off.

 

Pat’s life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Matthew Blevins 

Associate Pastor – mblevins@cvfirst.org

Matty Blevins is Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries at Castro Valley First Baptist Church where he has served for several years. He graduated from San Jose Christian College and Western Seminary and is often invited to speak at retreats and conferences in the areas of missional living, sexuality and suffering. His greatest passion is to encourage Christians to live as missionaries in the strange land called the San Francisco Bay Area and to comfort those who are suffering with comfort God has given him. He has been married to his best friend Mary for over 20 years and has two amazing boys, Elijah (age 10) and Josiah (age 5). His hobbies include all things Middle-earth and experiencing difficult culinary cultures and counts 1 Timothy 1:15-17 his life verse: “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Daniel Ennis

Daniel is the Family Pastor at CV First,  arriving in March of 2107.  Daniel comes on staff after ministering alongside our youth ministry for the past 10 years as a volunteer, guest preacher and Jr High Coordinator.  Daniel is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies while working full-time as the Family Pastor. Daniel previously worked with ThinkHR as a Customer Success Manager. Daniel is an avid reader that spans from the Christian classics to the recent superhero comic book.  He and his wife Amber have one daughter named Ruth and another little one due in June.

Arli Jue

Creative Design Director & Office Manager – ajue@cvfirst.org

Arli is our Creative Design and Office Manager since August of 2012 and November 2017, respectively.  Arli has the responsibilities of overseeing the creative aspects of CV First from interior decorating to producing graphic promo materials for our ministries. Recently she has taken on the added responsibility of overseeing our main office to make sure the day to day workings of our ministries flow smoothly. Arli comes to CV First after an extensive time serving with parachurch ministries, such as Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) and She Is Safe. Arli’s has also worked for an art gallery, has done freelance work and was an elementary school art teacher at Chinese Christian School in Alameda. She graduated from UC Davis in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Design and minor in Communications. Arli loves the outdoors and can be found biking or running through the hills of our county.  She is a Disneyland enthusiast and makes an annual trek there to run in their Labor Day race.  Arli and her husband Brian have been married since 1990 and have three children Kayla, Micah and Brandon.   They live in Castro Valley along with their dog Tomo.

 

Arli’s life verses are:

Ephesians 2:10 – New Living Translation (NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

 

Philippians 1:9-11 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Ben Atkinson

Maintenance & Facilities Manager – baktinson@cvfirst.org

Ben is on our Maintenance and Facilities Team.  Ben keeps our campus neat and tidy and ready for daily use.


Volunteer Office Staff

We have a wonderful crew of volunteers who staff our front office on a rotational basis.  These volunteers handle our “first touch” and direct our guests to the appropriate ministries.
